PacketX 3.2

PacketX is set of ActiveX classes that integrate WinPcap packet capture functionality with Visual Basic or any other programming environment supporting Microsoft ActiveX technology.


What it does 
-------------
In brief, PacketX uses WinPcap libraries to capture (and optionally filter) network packets. In addition to standard capture mode you can collect network statistics and send raw packets. All captured packets or statistics are encapsulated inside wrapper class and returned to client as events.

Installation
------------

To install the software run setup.exe. This will copy the packetx.dll and help files into selected destination directory and register the library. PacketX libary is dynamically linked to WinPcap libraries. This means that you can install WinPcap later than PacketX and everything should be fine. The WinPcap libraries have to be present when you first try to use PacketX or it will fail and complain about missing components.
